Hi, I'm Jenny!
I'm a postpartum doula and certified nutritional practitioner. After the birth of my daughter, I decided I wanted to marry my passions for nutrition, coaching and holistic health into a new vocation where I could serve and help others. The postpartum period can be met with so much joy, but also so many tears and struggles. I'm passionate about helping new moms get their bearings, and being an emotional support for them.

My Story
I had my first baby in 2023, via unexpected c-section. My birth experience, though transformative and beautiful in its own way, was the exact opposite of what I'd planned for. I envisioned a beautiful, vaginal birth at the Ottawa Birth Centre with my husband, doula and midwife present. No pain meds, just me breathing out my baby. Well, the birth centre flooded, there was a terrible thunderstorm, and horrific back contractions left me desperate for pain medication. Fast forward a few hours and I was holding my baby above my c-section incision.

When we got home from the hospital days later, my body was still in shock. I didn't realize how hard it would be to care for a baby with such physical restrictions. Simply showering and feeding myself was a struggle. I was mentally shocked by the exhaustion of taking care of a baby, learning to breastfeed a baby with a tongue tie, sleep deprivation, and healing post-surgery.

I was left wondering - what do people do without any support? What about single mothers? Parents without family nearby, and multiple children to care for?

This is where a postpartum doula comes in. This is someone to care of you, the parent, so that you can focus on caring for your baby. As your postpartum doula, I'm here to provide nourishment to new parents, including infant care, coaching and emotional support, breastfeeding guidance, preparing healthy meals, and even tidying your home.
