How I Meditated during Ovulation to Manifest my Sweet Pea
Recently, I was chatting with a colleague about pregnancy. I told her about a meditation/visualization practice I did when I was ovulating, and she felt inspired by it. I hope you do too, regardless of whether or not you're on a pregnancy journey.

“[M]editation doesn't have to look the way we often see - a person sitting cross legged, straight back, with incense burning. Meditation can look however you want it to, whatever way inspires you in that moment and makes you feel powerful.
As much as I'd love to be a daily meditator, I'm just not. I have gone through phases in my life where I did meditate daily, but that only seems to last a few weeks. I do go back to meditation every now and then, and do notice benefits - and one day hope to make it part of my daily routine. For now though, I wanted to share a really purposeful meditation practice that I firmly believe brought my baby into the world.
My husband and I started trying to conceive right after we got married. And as a holistic nutritionist, I have been tracking my menstrual cycle pretty religiously for a number of years. So, I knew exactly when I was due to ovulate, and I knew exactly when we should start actively trying.
The morning of my 35th birthday, I knew that I had either ovulated overnight, or would that very day. Our dogs happened to wake us up that morning super early, and while my husband left to go make me a breakfast of gluten-free pancakes, I had some kind of spiritual download - a feeling that I should lay in bed and do a meditation/visualization.
I put my left hand over my heart, and my right hand over my belly. I started some deep breathing. I sent warmth and love to my womb. I started repeating affirmations to myself, like, "your body is so ready for this. Your body is a divine-feminine-magical-being. It's time for you to join us, little one." I focused on sending warmth to my womb, repeating affirmations like this for several minutes. I started rubbing my belly, as if I was preparing the womb for our angel.
I then literally envisioned my husband's sperm interacting with my egg. I pictured the physiological process of the sperm fertilizing the egg, and the two of them coming together. I pictured the whole process of them traveling together into the womb. All the while, I kept sending positive energy, love and warmth to the area through my right hand. I could literally feel the warmth from my right hand on my belly and I could tell by how focused, grounded, and calm I felt, that I was manifesting something really powerful.
I believe I stayed in this blissful meditation for maybe 10-15 minutes total. I needed no music, no special scents, and I didn't even get up from a laying position. I think this shows that meditation doesn't have to look the way we often see - a person sitting cross legged, straight back, with incense burning (although honestly, I love incense!). Meditation can look however you want it to, whatever way inspires you in that moment and makes you feel powerful.
Did this help to manifest my pregnancy? I firmly believe it did. I believe that when we tell the Universe we are ready for something, and we trust the Universe 100%, we will receive what we are meant to receive in the moment that is meant for us. I was fortunate in that I didn't have to do this meditation month after month. I know that some women wait, and wait, and wait. But something in me told me that I should trust this process. And I like to believe that if I hadn't manifested this when I did, that I could be willing to trust the timing of the Universe. Because, if I'm being honest, I have been longing to become a Mother for several years. In my case, it was my time in September of 2022. And I can't wait to meet the little thing!
